Chris was raised around agriculture on a grain and livestock family farm in Northwest Ohio.

He received a BS in Agriculture from The Ohio State University, majoring in Agricultural Economics. Chris received his MBA from Ashland University.

Chris started his career in nutrition sales and sales management, spending 10 years with Continental Grain Company. In addition, he managed two retail feed and farm supply businesses. Chris then joined PIC, in the swine genetics industry, spending 10 years in sales management and marketing positions, and then five years as General Manager of their Canadian Operations.
